The Lowercase Fit Guide

Finding Your Fit

We know that finding the perfect frame can be a challenge.  Glasses are such a personal accessory, it's important to find a pair that both fits properly and compliments your unique style.  While nothing can beat trying them on, we've put together a guide for understanding the sizing and picking the right shape.  We also offer free shipping and returns so that you can make sure you made the right choice, or you can stop by one of our stockists!

Understanding Sizing

There are typically three sizing dimensions listed on every frame.  We mark ours on the inside of our left temple, but you can also find sizing diagrams like the one below with every frame on our site.  To give you a sense of scale, the width of our frames typically ranges from 135 - 145mm and the distance between lenses from 18-25mm.

For Small Faces

Our classic Jane is mounted with relatively smaller lenses than our other designs, providing a tight and balanced fit for small faces. The design simplifies a oval frame to an even lighter silhouette with elegant lines and handsome curves, suitable for men and women.

For Slim Faces

Frames with key holes bridges, like Clement, Marlton, and Frost, are mounted with narrower nose bridges that are shaped like an old-fashioned key holes. This design rests of the upper part of the nose and provides a comfortable fit for slim faces.

For Oval Faces

For balance, oval faces work great with oversized frames. Morningside is the largest frame we make that blends grace and attitude in an eclectic mix of colors. Roebling is another oversized option that features elegant curves and a subtle upsweep to a heavy brow.

Square and rectangular frames also add a nice contrast. We suggest trying Duke with the sharp corners and hard lines offering a more masculine point of view.

For Wider Faces

The Rebel Rebel comes in both our standard frame size and a wider width. The design is available for both sun and optical.  The Rockaway is an aviator frame that also tends to work well on larger faces.

Don't forget about our free shipping and returns so you can try them on with no risk!
